Responding to Ko Murobushi
─室伏鴻という＜問い＞にむけて─

As a choreograper who has also studied Philosophy, to ask myself radical questions has always been the central motivation of my artistic creations: when I met Ko, I realized that his dancing and his teaching were also inhabited by a very deep aesthetic research beyond the form of the gestures. One day, in a workshop, he said to a dancer: “your dancing is too easy to see”, and that sentence was the beginning of my own research. What is not easy to see? Why something is difficult to see and why it is interesting to put it on the stage? How our gaze is shaped so that we can make the difference between what is easy to see and what is not? Finally: how can we observe and analyze our gaze in order to show how it works?

Profile
Emmanuelle Huynh　エマニュエル・ユイン
前アンジェ国立現代舞踊センター（CNDC）芸術監督。現在はレンヌにおいてPlateforme Múaのディレクターを務める。造形作家や音楽家など異なった分野のアーティストとの共同作業を精力的に行うなど、鋭い批評的まなざしでダンスの再構築を進める彼女は、ドミニク・バグエ、トリシャ・ブラウンなど多くの振付家のもとで踊り、エルヴェ・ロブ、オディール・デュボックなどとも共同作業を行ってきた。1994年にはヴィラ・メディチ海外研究奨学金を得てヴェトナムで創作。また、ボルドー美術館、ベルサイユ宮殿などでのパフォーマンスの企画も多数ある。2001年にはフランス政府派遣アーティストとしてヴィラ九条山に滞在。

Few years ago, Ko and I promised to ourselves to travel together to Vietnam and to Yamabushi monks to share things that anchored us as adults and artists. We haven’t been able to do it before june 2015.
In Buoy, I organize our desired travel. The body sounds of Ko, his sountracks since 1970 will design the physical travel while I will disseminate the solo Mua that is a reflect of my first trip to Vietnam. My body thought as a journey, a land, the homeland of my father.
Céleste and Alba Bizarro will disseminate actions.
